What is Alpha?
Alpha is an opportunity for anyone, anywhere to freely explore their unique questions about life, faith, and meaning in an open, friendly, and informal environment.
Typically run over 11 weeks, each session of Alpha includes food, watching a video that explores an aspect of the Christian faith, and a small group discussion.
Over 28 million people have experienced Alpha in 175 countries and in over 100 languages.
Alpha is 100% free to attend.
Growing up, Fui did not subscribe to any religious beliefs. A friend invited him to Alpha during a time when he was facing challenges in his work and marriage.
“This is weird enough, but whatever. I have a problem, I don’t know what the solution is…why not?” – With that thought, Fui ended up trying Alpha.

Whether in person over a meal or virtually with a cup of tea, all sessions start with a time to connect, relax and build friendships.

The Alpha talks are designed to inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life and faith, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”
Conversation
One of the most important parts of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and discuss in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say.

Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone who is willing to have an honest conversation. No matter your background, history, or beliefs. You are welcome.
What happens at Alpha?
Every Alpha is different but the core elements stay the same. There is time for connection with one another, be that a meal, snacks or cup of tea over Zoom. Then, we watch a video together, and afterwards we have a conversation, where you share what you think.
You can say as much or as little as you want, and nothing is off limits.
How much does Alpha cost?
Alpha is free!
How long does Alpha go for?
Alpha is a series of sessions, normally runs for 9-11 weeks. However, you are welcome to come along for one week and see if it’s a fit for you. No pressure.
